Definition
Leadership grounded in follower attributions of charisma — vision articulation, sensitivity to the environment and member needs, unconventional behavior, and personal risk-taking (Conger & Kanungo). Referent influence. An INDEPENDENT style that overlaps but is distinct from transformational leadership.
