Degree of respect, politeness, dignity, and propriety with which an authority figure enacting a procedure or outcome treats the respondent. Split by Colquitt (2001) out of the broader 'interactional justice' construct originated by Bies & Moag (1986); one of the two facets the interactional-justice construct decomposes into under the field's current four-facet model (distributive, procedural, interpersonal, informational).
