Flow
A short-term peak experience at work characterised by absorption (total concentration, time distortion), work enjoyment (positive affect / intrinsic pleasure in the activity), and intrinsic work motivation. Csikszentmihalyi's flow construct operationalised for the work context by Bakker's Work-reLated Flow inventory (WOLF). Distinct from the more stable, trait-like Work Engagement (VAR_000153): flow is momentary/task-bound where engagement is a persistent affective-motivational state.
